EM&I have received full marks in an FPAL Supplier Performance Report for the LIMPET Sea Chest Isolations carried out for a client which is a global operator of floating production units. The review took place between March and August 2022.

The LIMPET Sea chest isolation system is an extension of the EM&I ODIN service line, which can be deployed from the asset itself. Through the ODIN Sea Chest Locating system, the LIMPET blank is able to locate and position itself onto the sea chest. To provide further guidance, an ROV enables the controller to see where the LIMPET blank is positioned in order to ensure that it is perfectly aligned with the sea chest inlet.

LIMPET has been designed to further improve the safety of asset integrity work, reducing the need for diving support which carries inherent risks. Furthermore, persons on board, operational downtime and costs are kept to a minimum.

The latest Supplier Performance report from Oil and Gas Europe (formerly Achilles FPAL) awarded EM&I full marks for the LIMPET Sea Chest Isolations project. This includes maximum points for supplier quality, product quality, planning and delivery, health and safety, environment and more.

Speaking about this latest achievement, Danny Constantinis, CEO and Executive Chairman commented:

“Achieving the highest possible score for LIMPET is a milestone for EM&I, as we continue to extend the ODIN service line to reduce safety risks within our industry. Well done to all involved”.
